Fable II – Curisoities

Fable – The Story and the Gossip

Here’s a little more gossip for Fable fans all over and some more conjecture, although, without a doubt I can guarantee Lionhead Studios will reserve the right to screw with our heads lol

The Cosmic Significance of 50 In Fable 2

In my recent post Fable 2 Indepth Guide *** Warning Spoilers*** I posted the following:

  • ….
  • Leo Head first commissioned Fairfax Castle 140 years ago….
  • The Fairfax Family purchased the Fairfax Castle 90 years ago ;50 Years, 50 Silver Keys, 50 Gargoyles!
  • ….

Turns out in fact that Peter Molyneux, Head of Lionhead Studios and Lead Game Designer was 50 on May 5th 2009, Leo Head must be some sort of metaphor for Peter Molyneux, Head of Lionhead Studios :)

Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios have Plans for Fable IV, and V after Fable III

I found a charming interview over at Game Trailers, where Peter Molyneux admits to a 4th and 5th Fable are in the works! And I have some ideas!

  • Jack of Blades not only wears the Mask of Souls, in Fable I he is also wearing a further 2 as part of his armour, these could be “backups” or the remains of the Queen of Blades and the Knight of Blades!
  • We know that Fable III is entitled – “The Race for the Crown”, where your Fable 2 Hero’s son or daughter takes the crown from a tyranical ruler, so maybe the next two foes your heroes must face come in parts IV and V.
  • In the book of prophecies found in Fable II Arthur Dandelion foresaw the possibility of a being potentially gaining the ability to change into a dragon and if so, he would lay all that lived to waste.
  • Arthur Dandelion also foresaw the return of the Last Archon and his city in a most bloody manner.

More Baseless Fable Rumours

You don’t actually see Theresa die at the hands of the Hero of Oakvale (If you choose to strike her down in the first Fable game) and not only is it canon that the Hero of Oakvale did strike his sister down to wield the Sword of Aeons it is also a fact that Theresa survived.

The Bloodline Book states that those of your hero’s bloodline, your mother, Scarlet Robe and Theresa could be descendants of those that made the Sword of Aeons, could be those destined to destroy the sword or merely the bloodline of Scythe who first made the deal with the Sword of Aeons to become immortal and have the power to destroy the Court of Blades.

It is known that not only did the Court of Blades originate from The Void as perhaps all dragons did but that the Sword of Aeons also originated from The Void.

Pure Conjecture
Jack of Blades activated the Sword of Aeons as a starter by sacrificing Scarlet Robe not with the Sword of Aeons but his own sword, Theresa is struck by the Sword of Aeons by the Hero of Oakvale. Maybe those linked to the sword cannot be killed by the sword?

If the Court of Blades and the Sword of Aeons originated from The Void, destiny must be waiting for a hero to not only destroy all dragons and not only to also destroy the Sword of Aeons by banishing it to The Void but ALSO seal whatever rift exists between the realm of Albion and The Void once and for all :)
